Education and the pastor, Pt. 3

The advantage I took from being in the classroom is what feeds me for a lifetime. In the classroom I was able to be exposed to reading and ideas outside my own mindset. I didn’t get to experience “group think.” That opened my mind and made me think through what I believed.

I can carry that with me today. I can hear from other voices and disagree, yet learn.

Not everyone gets the opportunity to have the classroom setting. Please do not let that deter you from diving into things that can truly challenge you.

There is a place for Andy Stanley and Mark Batterson. There is also a place for Bonheoffer, Moltmann, Barth, and Wright. We need to keep stretching, discussing, and learning.
